Welcome to the MarBeth Home Arts Blogs. Too many topics, you think? A blog should focus on a single niche? Well, each of the topics does link to a separate blog. Does that help any? Rather than having a separate blog for each of our interests (and having to log in and out of each one every time we have an idea), we've just gathered all of our blogs into a collection on a single website. It makes it easier on you, as a reader, too, doesn't it? Just think, anytime you want to know what we know or think about any of these topics, or others that we might add, you'll find it all here on a single site. Easy, yes? What can we say? We have a lot of different interests. How did we come up with the name? Actually, our father came up with MarBeth. He wanted to subdivide three acres of land into separate lots, but he needed a name for the subdivision. He decided to name it in our honor, so he combined our names, Elizabeth and Marilyn, to form MarBeth. We now use MarBeth in the name of most of our stores on the print-on-demand site, Zazzle.com. As store owners, we are affiliates of Zazzle, and we do receive referral fees from any sales that come from links that we post. We owe the Home Arts part to none other than Martha Stewart. Elizabeth was trying to think of a name that would describe her content and copywriting niche and website, HomeArtsContentandCopywriting.com. She heard Martha Stewart use the phrase "home arts" to describe all of the areas contained within her business. That phrase covers almost all of our interests as well, so, thank you, Martha Stewart, for helping to christen our businesses. We are Elizabeth and Marilyn Roy, and we are sisters. As Marilyn would be quick to add, Elizabeth is the older sister. As Elizabeth would be quick to respond, Marilyn gave her the gray hairs, and Marilyn started giving those gray hairs when she was very young. We come from a crafting, organic gardening, and freezing and canning family. With this blog, we are combining our areas of expertise, and we hope to share it all with you. If you own or manage a fabric, craft, gardening, landscaping, hardscaping, or interior decorating business and you need copywriting and or content writing services, contact Elizabeth at HomeArtsContentandCopywriting.com.
