Our parents met at an annual downtown gathering in Columbus, Ohio on Halloween in 1940. They were introduced by their best friends who were dating each other at the time. Our parents married four months later on April 16, 1941. Forty years later, in 1980, we happened to be at Disney World on Halloween. We went to the Disney World bakery on Main Street and told them the story of how our parents met as we ordered a cake to celebrate. The woman who took our order got caught up in the spirit.of the season. The bakery created a Halloween cake that included a pair of plastic skull rings. We and our parents were surprised and pleased, and we and our parents celebrated a very happy wedding anniversary at the happiest place on Earth. So, share the story of why you're getting married on Halloween, get people excited about the idea, investigate what's available in your area, and encourage creativity. Then, look forward to a memorable wedding. Back to Top Halloween Wedding Venues
